This device is a very compact mini reflectometer that fits in the palm of your hand and will help you perform measurements in the optical time domain, OTDR, VFL, OLS, OPM. This reflectometer tests the integrity of a fiber cable and is used to build, certify, maintain and troubleshoot fiber optic systems.
Among its functions, we can find OTDR, VFL, OLS and OPM measurements.
Como reflectómetro óptico en el dominio del tiempo (OTDR) puede realizar medidas entre 0.1 y 80 km de distancia utilizando la longitud de onda 1550nm, permitiendo localizar fallos de fusión, ubicación de conectores y pigtails, pérdidas del cable y roturas de fibra, gracias a la luz reflejada que regresa al OTDR. El OTDR registra el tiempo que tarda la luz en volver reflejada y tambián la intensidad de la misma, permitiendo al instalador identificar la ubicación y la naturaleza de la discontinuidad.
As Optical Power Meter(OPM), it features 10 wavelengths(850-980-1270-1300-1310-1490-1590-1550-1557-1625-1650nm). Wide wavelength range. The optical power meter is used to measure the power output of fiber optic equipment, as well as the power or loss of an optical signal that is transmitted through a fiber optic cable.
Como localizador de fallos visual(VFL), de 10mW, cuanta con una fuente láser estable con modo intermitente y fijo. Este dispositivo tiene una alta precisión en sus medidas.
Como fuente de luz óptica(OLS), nos permite enviar una señal de referencia para que en el otro extremo se pueda detectar la potencia con el OPM (Optical Power Meter), entonces poder calcular las pérdidas del enlace de fibra óptica.
It has a 3.5” LCD touch screen, with ten levels of backlight adjustment. Its 200mAh and 3.7V Lithium battery is rechargeable through the USB-C port, allowing you to work comfortably without cables (the charger is not included).
The reflectometer has a power saving function, which turns off the display illumination if no operation is performed and automatic shutdown.
