EK AM 402 Easy Magnek VHF/UHF Mast Amplifier
The Ekselans AM 402 Easy Magnek mast amplifier is designed to receive, combine and amplify terrestrial TV signals directly next to the antennas. Its two independent VHF and UHF inputs make it particularly suitable for installations with weak reception or long coaxial cable runs where signal losses need to be compensated before distribution.
The VHF input operates from 47 to 230 MHz with 28 dB gain, while the UHF input covers 470–694 MHz with 40 dB gain, according to the supplied technical datasheet. Both bands offer 18 dB adjustment, while the amplifier provides a maximum output level of 114 dBµV and operates with terrestrial VHF and UHF/DTT systems.
Its high-rejection 5G filter helps protect DTT reception against interference from mobile communication services. It features the Easy Magnek magnetic mounting system. This system is a patented magnetic mounting solution exclusive to EK (Ekselans), designed for TV masthead amplifiers. It allows installers to temporarily attach the device to any metal surface or mast using just one hand, providing greater convenience and safety when working at height. The installation can be completed with a suitable 24V power supply for mast amplifiers.
Designed for new installations and upgrades to terrestrial TV reception systems, rather than as a dedicated replacement part, the AM 402 Easy Magnek is an excellent choice for homes and professional installations combining VHF/DAB and UHF/DTT signals or suffering from cable attenuation. For reliable signal distribution, installation with properly shielded 75 Ohm coaxial cable is recommended.
